We are praising God for this faithful testimony sent in by our Indigenous Leader serving in the Horn of Africa and surrounding nations. Through their network, Treasure audio Bibles were deployed among the Segeju in Tanzania. This nation is considered 99.97% Islam and only 0.03% Christian.

The woman pictured above was one of the privileged Treasure recipients. This sister faithfully listened to the device and decided to give her life to Jesus—just through hearing God’s Word. She later looked for the indigenous missionary serving among the Segeju and shared her salvation story. This missionary came alongside to provide discipleship and help answer her questions. Soon after, she was baptized in the ocean, fully committing to her new life with the Lord.

Her Muslim husband began to take notice of her transformation and new undeniable joy. Curious, he began asking questions, and she boldly shared her faith. This deeply angered him, and he reported the matter to the local sheikh.

The manner of abuse and persecution that followed was heartbreaking. Her baby was taken to pressure her into renouncing Jesus for Mohamed. She refused. Attempts to marry her off to a powerful elderly sheikh in the Segeju community failed. The abuse increased to the point of being thrown out of her home and community.

The local missionary stepped up to help, providing temporary lodging. Through prayer, they came up with a solution that would enable this woman to stabilize and take care of herself and her baby’s needs so that she can focus on her spiritual growth! Unknown Nations has come alongside her to start her very own business selling vegetables and other goods.
